Choosing a score consolidation method
Go to Admin → Program, in the Scoring section. This controls how multiple judges' raw scores on one entry combine into that entry's final score:
- Moderated: normalises for harsh vs. lenient judges before combining (recommended when judges may score on different scales). This is the default.
- Simple average: a plain mean of judges' scores, no normalisation.
- Average, expressed out of 100: a plain mean, rescaled to a /100 result.
- Sum: adds every criterion's score together rather than weighting them.
If your program has any custom AI-built consolidation methods approved (via Ask EntryHead), they appear in the same dropdown alongside the built-in ones, marked "(AI)".
